Ellen Paige… sweet Jesus
Hard Candy is an unflinching character study and mystery about two people trapped in a house together.
I originally rented the film because Ellen Page has a super cute haircut in it. Only after popping it in do I learn that Page’s character is a fourteen year old taking violent action against a creepy older man who sexualizes her. Awkward for me, to say the least.
